b. Disassembly
NOTE
Mark direction of adapter elbows.
1.
Remove two adapter elbows (9) and from steering assist cylinder (8).
NOTE
Mark direction of seat valves.
2.
Remove two adjustable plugs (l), seat valves (2), spring (3), and ring (4) from socket assembly (5).
NOTE
Mark socket assembly location on shaft with chalk before
removing.
3.
Remove nut (11), screw (7), clamp (6), and socket assembly (5) from shaft (10).
c. Assembly
1.
Install clamp (6) loosely on socket assembly (5) with screw (7) and nut (11).
2.
Install socket assembly (5) on shaft (10).
3.
Tighten nut (11) on clamp (6) 30-40 lb-ft (41-54 N•m).
