Steering assist cylinder stone shield removed
Cap and plug set (Appendix C, Item 14)
(para. 3-231).
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Do not start engine when steering assist cylinder
hoses are disconnected.
WARNING
Do not start engine when steering assist cylinder hoses are
disconnected. Pressure may whip hoses, causing injury to
personnel.
CAUTION
Cap or plug all openings immediately after disconnecting lines and
hoses to prevent contamination. Failure to do so may result in
steering system damage.
NOTE
• Have container ready to catch hydraulic oil.
• Tag all hydraulic lines and hoses for installation.
Disconnect hoses (1) and (2) from elbows (5) and (6) and adapters (3) and (4).
NOTE
• Do not reuse hydraulic oil.
• Remove all caps and plugs prior to installation.
Install hoses (1) and (2) on adapters (3) and (4) and elbows (5) and (6)1.
