Align scribe marks on flanges of drive pulley (3) and clutch housing (12), and install clutch facing (11),

return spring (10), clutch housing (12), spacer (8), and thrust cap backup plate (7) on drive pulley (3).

Using two fan override lockup screws (13), stored in fan clutch assembly bracket (15), temporarily

secure clutch housing (12) and drive pulley (3) together.

NOTE

Assistant will help with step 20.

Align screw holes in thrust cap backup plate (7) to holes in thrust cap (9) on clutch housing (12) and,

while assistant holds down backup plate (7), install eight screws (14) on clutch housing (12).

Tighten screws (14) 70 lb-in. (8 N•m).

Remove two fan override screws (13) from clutch housing (12) and drive pulley (3) and install

screws (13) in holes (16) on fan clutch assembly bracket (15).
