For general inspection procedures, refer to para. 2-15.

Inspect clutch housing (2), drive pulley (11), and spacers (4), (5), and (7), bracket (13), clutch facing

(8), and thrust cap (10) for chips, cracks, or breaks. Replace part(s) if chipped, cracked, or broken.

Inspect clutch housing (2) and shaft (12) for gouged or stripped threads. Replace clutch housing (2)

or shaft (12) if threads are damaged.

Inspect return spring (9) for cracks and weak coils. Replace spring (9) if cracked or coils are weak.
