(4) Remove eight nuts (20, fig. 8-21 ) and Iockwasher (21) from the lower rear shaft cover

(4). Remove the rear shaft cover (fig. 8-24).

(5) Drive the lower rear output shaft assembly from the front side of the case out of the rear

side of the case with a rubber or rawhide mallet and remove six nuts (17, fig. 8-21) and Iockwasher (18)

from studs ( 19) and remove seal.
