b. Installation.

(1) Install new gasket on air compressor.

(2) Install air compressor on the adapter (3, fig. 14-32) making sure that the timing position

remains correct.

NOTE

In step (3), the lower inside mounting

capscrew must be installed and tightened

using special tool 3375159.

(3) Install air compressor-to-adapter mounting hardware. Two bolts and nuts (1) are used

in the upper location and two capscrews (2) are used in the lower location. Tighten the lower inside

capscrew and torque the other three to 49 Ib-ft (66 N-m).
