8. PRIMARY PUMP MAKES EXCESSIVE NOISE.

Step 1. Check that primary pump and motor mounting hardware is tight and not damaged.

Tighten loose mounting hardware and replace damaged parts (paras 25-5

and 25-6).

Step 2. Remove inspection cover from primary pump. Check to see that pump motor coupling is not

loose or damaged.

Tighten loose coupling or replace damaged parts (para 25-5 and 25-6).
