CAUTION
Engine must be at idle before engaging PTO.
Failure to comply will result in
damage to PTO and/or transmission.

NOTE
Do not remove hydraulic hoses from hydraulic motor in Step 143.

Step 143.
Put HIGH IDLE switch to OFF position (WP 0004).
Put PUMP PTO switch to OFF
position (WP 0004).
Turn Engine Off (TM 9-2320-422-10).
Remove hydraulic pressure
gauge and install caps on hydraulic oil filter base input and output ports.
Remove four
mounting screws and nuts from hydraulic motor and water pump (WP 0151).
Pull
hydraulic motor away from water pump.
Start engine (TM 9-2320-422-10).
Put PUMP
PTO switch to ON position (WP 0004).
Put HIGH IDLE switch to ON position
(WP 0004).
While an assistant rotates manual pressure control knob ¼ a turn
clockwise in INC position (WP 0004), check if hydraulic motor output shaft turns.

If hydraulic motor output shaft turns, replace water pump (WP 0158).

Step 144.
Replace hydraulic motor (WP 0151).
Start engine (TM 9-2320-422-10).
Put PUMP
PTO switch to ON position (WP 0004).
Put HIGH IDLE switch to ON position
(WP 0004).
Put manual override manifold hydraulic override lever to automatic mode
(WP 0004).
Check if pressure governor control Pressure Discharge Pressure (PSI)
displays pressure (WP 0017).

If pressure governor control Pressure Discharge Pressure (PSI)
displays pressure, fault corrected.

If pressure governor control Pressure Discharge Pressure (PSI) does
not display pressure, replace hydrostatic pump (WP 0017).
