Fuel is very flammable and can explode easily.
To avoid serious injury or death,
keep fuel away from open fire and keep fire extinguisher within easy reach when
working with fuel.
Do not work on fuel system when engine is hot.
Fuel can be
ignited by hot engine. When working with fuel, post signs that read NO SMOKING
WITHIN 50 FEET of vehicle.
NOTE
Fuel may spill when clamps and hoses are removed.
Position suitable drain pan under hoses to catch excess fuel.
2.
Remove clamp (4) and hose (5) from heater fuel pump (3).
3.
Remove clamp (6) and hose (7) from heater fuel pump (3).
4.
Remove locknut (8), washer (9), screw (10), clamp (11), and heater fuel pump (3) from vehicle.
Discard
locknut.
5.
Remove pump (3) from clamp (11).
END OF TASK
INSTALLATION
1.
Position clamp (11) on heater fuel pump (3).
2.
Install clamp (11) and heater fuel pump (3) on vehicle with screw (10) and washer (9) and locknut (8).
3.
Install hose (7) on heater fuel pump (3) with clamp (6).
4.
Install hose (5) on heater fuel pump (3) with clamp (4).
