d. Cleaning/Inspection.
Clean all metal parts thoroughly with dry cleaning solvent.
e. Assembly (P/N 6E150110).
(1)
Install preformed packing (1), back-up ring (2), and
preformed packing (3) on needle valve (4).
(2)
Position needle valve (4) in valve body (5).
(3)
Tighten needle valve (4) to 35-40 lb-ft (47-54 N•m).
(4)
Install preformed packing (6), two back-up rings (7),
preformed packing (8), back-up ring (9), and
preformed packing (10) on counterbalance valve
(11).
(5)
Position counterbalance valve (11) in valve body (5).
(6)
Tighten counterbalance valve (11) to 50-55 lb-ft
(68-75 N•m).
WARNING
Dry Cleaning Solvent (P-D-680) is TOXIC and flammable.
Wear protective goggles and
gloves; use only in well-ventilated area; avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothes, and do
not breathe vapors.
Keep away from heat or flame.
Never smoke when using solvent; the
flashpoint for Type I Dry Cleaning Solvent is 100
F (38 C) and for Type II is 130 F (50 C).
Failure to comply may result in serious injury or death to personnel.
If personnel become dizzy while using cleaning solvent, immediately get fresh air and
medical help.
If dry cleaning solvent contacts skin or clothes, flush with cold water.
If dry
cleaning solvent contacts eyes, immediately flush eyes with water and get immediate
medical attention.
Failure to comply may result in serious injury or death to personnel.
