NOISY ALTERNATOR

1.

Check for loose pulley or

mounting bolts (refer to

WP 0116 00).

2.

Check for worn or sticking

bearings by removing

alternator belt and spinning

alternator by hand (refer to

WP 0116 00).

Tighten mounting bolts and if

pulley is loose, replace alternator

(refer to WP 0116 00). Verify

problem is solved. If mounting

bolts or drive pulley were okay,

go to step 2.

If bearings are worn or sticking,

replace alternator (refer to WP

0116 00). Verify problem is

solved.
