Connect button probe cable to MSD/ICE test equipment (WP

0004).

Connect button probe cable red lead to 12 vdc (7 pin) cable, trailer end connector, pin B.

Connect button probe cable black lead to 12 vdc (7 pin) cable, trailer end connector, pin A.

5.

Have assistant turn engine start switch to ON. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP

0190).

6.

Have assistant turn ON lights. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP

0190).

7.

Perform ICE Test 89.

8.

Meter should display a reading between 10 and 14 vdc.

CONDITION/INDICATION

Are 10 to 14 vdc measured between pins B and A on trailer end of 12 vdc cable?

DECISION

Voltage OK - Go to (Step 3 - Are 10 to 14 vdc measured on wire 1012-2 at diode assembly connector, terminal

6?).

Voltage Faulty - Go to (Step 2 - Can 12 vdc cable be repaired?).

Can 12 vdc cable be repaired?

Have assistant turn OFF lights. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP

0190).
