STEP 4
Are 10 to 14 vdc measured on wire 1003-5 at diode assembly connector, terminal 2?
WARNING
Remove all jewelry such as rings, ID tags, bracelets, etc. prior to working on or around vehicle.
Jewelry and tools can catch on equipment, contact positive electrical circuits, and cause a
direct short, severe burns, or electrical shock. Failure to comply may result in injury or death
to personnel.
1.
Have assistant release brake pedal. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
2.
Connect 12 vdc (7 terminal) cable to connector MC16.
3.
Disconnect diode assembly from diode assembly connector (WP
0059).

Connect button probe cable red lead to diode assembly connector, terminal 2.
5.
Connect button probe cable black lead to a known good ground.
6.
Have assistant fully depress brake pedal. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
7.
Perform ICE Test 89.
8.
Meter should display a reading between 10 and 14 vdc.
CONDITION/INDICATION
Are 10 to 14 vdc measured on wire 1003-5 at diode assembly connector, terminal 2?
DECISION
Voltage OK - Go to (Step 6 - Are 10 to 14 vdc measured on wire 1003C at rear junction box?).
Voltage Faulty - Go to (Step 5 - Can trailer main harness wire 1003-5 be repaired?).
