Connect button probe cable red lead to 12 vdc (7 pin) cable, trailer end connector, pin C.

Connect button probe cable black lead to 12 vdc (7 pin) cable, trailer end connector, pin A.

Have assistant fully depress brake pedal. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP

0190).

Perform ICE Test 89.

8.

Meter should display a reading between 10 and 14 vdc.

CONDITION/INDICATION

Are 10 to 14 vdc measured between pins C and A on trailer end of 12 vdc cable?

DECISION

Voltage OK - Go to (Step 4 - Are 10 to 14 vdc measured on wire 1003-5 at diode assembly connector, terminal

2?).

Voltage Faulty - Go to (Step 3 - Can 12 vdc cable be repaired?).

STEP 3

Can 12 vdc cable be repaired?

1.

Have assistant release brake pedal. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP

0190).

WARNING

Remove all jewelry such as rings, ID tags, bracelets, etc. prior to working on or around vehicle.

Jewelry and tools can catch on equipment, contact positive electrical circuits, and cause a

direct short, severe burns, or electrical shock. Failure to comply may result in injury or death

to personnel.
