Connect button probe cable red lead to wire 1003C.
4.
Connect button probe cable black lead to a known good ground.
5.
Have assistant fully depress brake pedal. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
6.
Perform ICE Test 89.
7.
Meter should display a reading between 10 and 14 vdc.
CONDITION/INDICATION
Are 10 to 12 vdc measured on wire 1003C/22 at LED composite light?
DECISION
Voltage OK - Replace LED composite light (WP
0056). Go to (Step 11 - Do stoplights operate?) to verify problem
is solved.
Voltage Faulty - Go to (Step 2 - Are 10 to 14 vdc measured between pins C and A on trailer end of 12 vdc cable?).

Are 10 to 14 vdc measured between pins C and A on trailer end of 12 vdc cable?
WARNING
Remove all jewelry such as rings, ID tags, bracelets, etc. prior to working on or around vehicle.
Jewelry and tools can catch on equipment, contact positive electrical circuits, and cause a
direct short, severe burns, or electrical shock. Failure to comply may result in injury or death
to personnel.
1.
Have assistant release brake pedal. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
2.
Connect wire 1003C connector to composite light wire 22.
3.
Disconnect 12 vdc (7 pin) cable from connector MC16.
