NOTE
Wire is not repairable if damage cannot be visually located or if a prior repair has already
reduced length of wire. Wire is not repairable if after repair, wire is too short to reach its
connection point.
1.
Have assistant release brake pedal. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
2.
Have assistant turn OFF Blackout Lights selector switch. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
3.
Have assistant turn engine start switch to OFF. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
4.
Disconnect 24 vdc (12 terminal) cable from vehicle.

Visually check if 24 vdc (12 terminal) cable can be repaired (WP
0051).
CONDITION/INDICATION
Can 24 vdc cable be repaired?
DECISION
Repair - Repair 24 vdc cable (WP
0051). Go to (Step 7 - Do blackout stoplights operate?) to verify problem is solved.
No Repair - Replace 24 vdc cable. Refer to TM 9-2330-342-10 (WP
0190). Go to (Step 7 - Do blackout stoplights
operate?) to verify problem is solved.
