Visually check if composite light harness wire 1678C can be repaired.

CONDITION/INDICATION

Can composite light harness wire 1678C be repaired?

DECISION

Repair - Repair wire 1678C (WP

0055). Go to (Step 7 - Do blackout stoplights operate?) to verify problem is solved.

No Repair - Replace composite light harness (WP

0059). Go to (Step 7 - Do blackout stoplights operate?) to verify

problem is solved.

STEP 4

Are 22 to 28 vdc measured between terminals F and D on trailer end of 24 vdc cable?

WARNING

Remove all jewelry such as rings, ID tags, bracelets, etc. prior to working on or around vehicle.

Jewelry and tools can catch on equipment, contact positive electrical circuits, and cause a

direct short, severe burns, or electrical shock. Failure to comply may result in injury or death

to personnel.

1.

Have assistant release brake pedal. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP

0190).

2.

Have assistant turn OFF Blackout Lights selector switch. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP

0190).

3.

Have assistant turn engine start switch to OFF. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP

0190).

4.

Disconnect 24 vdc (12 pin) cable from junction box connector MC15.
