Have assistant fully depress brake pedal. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
4.
Observe blackout stoplights.
CONDITION/INDICATION
Does at least one blackout stoplight operate when brakes are applied?
DECISION
One Light On - Go to (Step 2 - Are 22 to 28 vdc measured on wire 1678C/23 at LED composite light?).
All Lights Out - Go to (Step 4 - Are 22 to 28 vdc measured between terminals F and D on trailer end of 24 vdc
cable?).
STEP 2
Are 22 to 28 vdc measured on wire 1678C/23 at LED composite light?
WARNING
Remove all jewelry such as rings, ID tags, bracelets, etc. prior to working on or around vehicle.
Jewelry and tools can catch on equipment, contact positive electrical circuits, and cause a
direct short, severe burns, or electrical shock. Failure to comply may result in injury or death
to personnel.
1.
Have assistant release brake pedal. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
2.
Have assistant turn OFF Blackout Lights selector switch. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
3.
Have assistant turn engine start switch to OFF. Refer to vehicle Operator's manual (WP
0190).
4.
Disconnect wire 1678C from nonoperating LED composite light wire 23.
5.
Connect button probe cable to MSD/ICE test equipment (WP
0004).
