2-59. MAINTENANCE OF RADIATOR AND RELATED PARTS (CONT).

Remove dirt from radiator cores (1) with low-pressure compressed air.

Clean outside of engine coolant radiator (2), six radiator base resilient mounts (3), and all metal

parts with dry cleaning solvent.

Dry with low-pressure compressed air.

Clean inlet and outlet radiator pipes (4 and 5) with wire brush or emery cloth.

Clean inside and outside of overflow hose (6) with soap and water.

Flush with clean water and allow to dry.

Flush inside of engine coolant radiator (2) with clean, fresh water. If clogged, notify direct

support maintenance.

Refer to TM 750-254 for general cleaning procedures.
