Dry cleaning solvent is toxic an d
flammable. Wear protective goggle s
and gloves and use only in well-
ventilated areas .
If operator’s cupola ring cushioning pa d
(1) was removed, use dry cleaning solven t
(item 10, appx C) and wire brush t o
remove residual adhesive from mountin g
surface of cupola ring (2) .
Apply epoxy resin adhesive (item 2, appx
C) to bonding surfaces of cupola ring (2)
and operator’s cupola ring cushioning pa d
(1). Install operator’s cupola ring cushion-
ing pad. Center in cupola within 0.03 in .
(0.08 cm) total and bend tabs (3) o n
operator’s cupola ring cushioning pad t o
hold firmly in place .

Cupola hinge torsion bar (4) shall b e
installed so that cupola vehicle hatc h
door (5) will have equal torsion i n
open and closed positions .
Install cupola vehicle hatch door (5) an d
cupola hinge torsion bar (4) .
Install lubrication fitting (6) in cupola hing e
torsion bar (4) and fill with grease (ite m
12, appx C) .
Install cupola spring anchor (7) on top o f
cab and interlock cupola hinge torsion bar
(4). Secure cupola spring anchor with tw o
new Iockwashers (8) and two hexago n
capscrews (9) .
