Remove securing fastenings from :
impact-wrench access-door, engine ai r
cleaner access doors, rigger’s door ,
stowage-compartment access door, tool -
Iocker door, crane operator’s door, tow -
winch access door, crane operator’ s
cupola cover, and rigger/gunner cupol a
cover .
Remove securing straps from: portabl e
fire extinguishers, outside and inside o f
cab, snatch block on left front of cab ,
tow winch snatch block in tray or bot -
tom of boom, level wind, two tow -
cables, one each side of boom, tow bar
on right fender, track shoes on righ t
deck, acetylene and oxygen cylinders o n
right front of cab, all chains in exterior
cab stowage compartment .
Remove tape and barrier material fro m
machine gun pintle support .
Remove machine gun mount from cab .
Remove tape and barrier material and in-
stall mount on pintle support .
Remove M17 periscopes from inside ca b
stowage compartment. Remove tape ,
paper and cushioning material. Instal l
periscopes in driver’s, crane operator’s ,
and rigger/gunner cupolas .
Remove tape and protective cover fro m
headlights, taillights, flasher, an d
floodlights .
Remove tape and protective cover fro m
all seats, backrests, and crash pads .
Remove screen from turret hull cleanou t
cover opening. Remove wire securin g
cover and close cover .
Remove screens from transmission an d
radiator access cover openings. Remov e
access covers from box in cab and instal l
in access openings .
