Remove pipe plug from power plan t
reservoir drain cover .
Attach tag to plug and hang on driver’s
throttle control in driver’s compartment .
Remove tow hooks from box in cab an d
install on vehicle .
Remove basic issue item shipping con-
tainers from OVE rack .
Open containers, unpack items and in -
ventory contents with packing list .
Record missing or damaged items .
Clean basic issue items as required an d
install in stowage provisions on hull an d
cab. Refer to TM 9-2350-238-10 fo r
location .
Do not connect battery cable s
before activating batteries with elec -
trolyte to avoid battery blowup .
Remove dry-charged batteries and elec -
trolyte from shipping containers .
Install batteries in battery compartment .
Tape positive battery cables to th e
battery-to-ground cable .
Add electrolyte and charge batteries .
Connect all battery cables .
Install and set up M2 .50 caliber machin e
gun on machine gun mount (TM 9-2350 -
238-10) .
