LEVEL WIND
LEVEL WIND TRAVERSES CAB IN ONLY ONE DIRECTION.
Make sure all personnel stand clear of boom and block
before traversing cab or operating boom.
• Always wear leather gloves when handling winch
cable. Never allow cable to run through hands. Broken
wires can cause painful injuries. Do not operate
winch/crane with less than four turns of wire rope on
drums. Failure to observe these warnings could result
in injury to personnel.

1.
Check adjustment of level wind assembly. Refer to TM
9-2350-238-20-2.

2. Check for damaged level wind sensing switch.
Replace damaged level wind sensing switch. Refer to TM
9-2350-238-20-2.

3. Check for damaged level wind solenoid valve.
Replace damaged level wind solenoid valve. Refer to TM
9-2350-238-20-2.
