Run cable slowly out and guide cable off drum (7).

5.

Remove ferrule filler (8) by depressing filler spring (9).

6.

Remove cable assembly (10) from dummy filler (11) by disengaging rope ferrule (12).

7.

Remove dummy filler (11) from drum (7).

Installation

1.

Install dummy filler (11) in drum (7).

2.

Install cable assembly (10) to dummy filler (11) by engaging rope ferrule (12).

3.

Coat ferrule filler (8) with GAA grease and install with filler spring (9) in between rope ferrule (12) and dummy filler (11).

4.

Install tee (5) and seal (6).

5.

Install hoses (1 and 4) on tee (5).

6.

Install hose (1) onto elbow (2), and install two band markers (3) to hose.

7.

Run winch slowly and guide cable on drum (7).

NOTE

Follow-on maintenance: Retract cable (refer to TM 9-2350-256-10); Close U-35 winch center right

floor plate (see WP 0289 00); Close floor plates (see WP 0287 00 thru 0308 00).
