REPAIR DRIVER’S HATCH (M901A1 ONLY) — Continued

Close and latch driver’s hatch (see your -10). While driver’s hatch is closed and latched, inspect yoke support assembly

(1) and block detents (2) and (3) for mud, dirt, and any debris that could interfere with smooth operation of the assembly.

NOTE

Make sure hatch is in the closed position.

Remove two setscrews (1), snap rings (2), pins (3), washers (4), and washers (5) from driver’s hatch cover (6).

WARNING

Falling hatch could seriously injure you.

Keep head lower than closed hatch position when opening or closing hatch. Keep hands clear

of hatch rim when closing. Make sure latch pin or mechanism is fully engaged when hatch

is in any open position.

Pull hatch release handle (7) and allow yoke (8) to move to open position.

5.

Carefully lift away hatch cover (6).
