REPLACE DRIVER’S HATCH COVER AND EXTERIOR LOCK (ALL

EXCEPT M901A1) — Continued

1.

Remove two locknuts (1), screws (2), and retainer (3) from hinge brackets. Discard locknuts.

2.

Support cover (4). Remove springs (5), tube (6), two ring spacers (7), and cover from hinge brackets. Discard ring

spacers.

3.

Remove locknut (8) and screw (9) from cover (4). Discard locknut.

4.

Pry up end of seal (10) and rem ove from cover (4). D iscard seal.

5.

Remove wing nut (1), washer (2), and bushing (3) from bolt (4).

6.

Remove cotter pin (5) from headed pin (6). Discard cotter pin.

7.

Remove pin (6) and bolt (4) from bracket on hatch.
