REPLACE CARGO HATCH INTERIOR LATCH — Continued

INSTALLATION

1.

Place two strikers (1) on hull. Secure with four new lockwashers (2) and screws (3).

2.

Place washers (4) and two mount brackets (5) on cargo hatch cover (6). Secure with eight washers (7) and screws

(8). Do not tighten screws.

3.

Install two latches (9) and springs (10) in brackets (5). Secure with four nuts (11).

4.

Install tube (12) on chain (13).

NOTE

Do Step 5 for M113A2 FOV (late model).

5.

Install two clevises (14) on chain (13). Secure clevises to two latches (9) with headed pins (15) and new cotter pins (16).

NOTE

Do Step 6 for M113A2 FOV (early model) only.

6.

Install two rings (17) on chain (13). Squeeze rings on two strikers (1) to secure.
