REPLACE CARGO HATCH INTERIOR LATCH — Continued

ADJUSTMENT

NOTE

Cargo hatch cover should fit tightly and evenly along all four sides.

1.

Remove or add washers (1) between two brackets (2) and the cargo hatch cover (3), as needed, to establish a proper

seal and correct latch engagement.

2.

If cargo hatch cover does not seal correctly, remove required number of washers (1), equally, from both brackets (2) to

tighten seal.

3.

If cargo hatch cover (3) is too tight to latch correctly, add required number of washers (1), equally, to both brackets (2) to

obtain proper latch engagement.

4.

Position bracket (2) so that latch (4) engages striker (5) within 3/8 to 5/8 inch (10-16 mm).

5.

TIGHTEN EIGHT SCREWS (6) TO 22-24 LB-FT (30-37 N·M) TORQUE. Use torque wrench.
