REPLACE CARGO HATCH HOLD-OPEN HOOK AND BUMPERS (M113A2,

M901A1, AND M1059 ONLY) — Continued

Remove two locknuts (10), four washers (9), two bumpers (8), and washer(s) (7) from hull brackets. Discard locknuts.

6.

Remove locknut (6), screw (5), two washers (4), spring (3), two spacers (2), and hook (1) from hull brackets. Discard

locknut.

INSTALLATION

1.

Align hook (1), two spacers (2), spring (3), and two washers (4) with hull bracket. Secure with screw (5) and new

locknut (6).

NOTE

Install washer(s), as needed, to compress left bumper3/16to5/16inch(5-8mm)andright

bumper 1/16 to 1/4 inch (2-6 mm) when hold-open hook is engaged.

2.

Install washer(s) (7) and two bumpers (8) in hull brackets. Secure with four washers (9) and two new locknuts (10).
