REPLACE/REPAIR DRIVER’S SEAT POST ASSEMBLY — Continued

CLEAN, INSPECT, AND REPAIR

1.

Check parts for corrosion, distortion, cracks, breaks, and loose or missing parts. Repair or replace damaged and missing

parts.

ASSEMBLY

1.

Place crank (1) in adjuster (2) and install cam (3). Secure with two new spring pins (4).

2.

Align spring (5) and two washers (6) with holes of stiffener (7) and adjuster (2).

3.

Install new spring pin (8) in hole closest to end of straight pin (9). Install two washers (6) on straight pin from other

end and push up against spring pin. Slide straight pin through slot in cam (3), hole in housing, spring (5), and washer

(10), and into hole in stiffener (7).

4.

Compress spring (5) against wall of adjuster (2) and install new spring pin (8) outboard of washers (6). Check operation

of crank (1) and straight pin (9).

5.

Install four rollers (11) on shaft of adjuster (2) and secure with four snap rings (12). Use snap ring pliers.
