RAMP SEAL TEST

WARNING

Lowering ramp could injure personnel. Makesurenooneisinrampzonebeforeyoulower

ramp. If tactical situation permits, sound horn before dropping ramp.

1.

Lowerramp(seeyour-10)

.

2.

Check ramp-to-hull seal. Replace cracked, worn, or torn seal (WP 0566 00).

3.

If seal looks all right, apply a heavy coat of white chalk to sealing lip of ramp seal.

4.

Raise and lock ramp. Unlock and lower ramp (see your -10).

5.

Check ramp for chalk transfer from seal to ramp surface.

6.

If chalk is not evenly distributed, do RAMP LOCK ADJUSTMENT Step 1.

7.

If there is no chalk along bottom of ramp, replace seal (WP 0566 00).
