Go to step 1,

Figure 3, sheet 10

and perform test on

next series of

batteries.

After completing repair,

rerun GO CHAIN tests to

verify that problem is fixed

and that no other problems

exist. Start at GO 1 (Figure

2, sheet 1).

Check battery

connections and

repeat step 4, Figure 3,

sheet 13.

If display shows GO, check

cables and connections to

starter and repeat step 4,

Figure 3, sheet 13.

If display shows .9.9.9 .9, clean

and tighten connections on

battery and repeat step 4,

Figure 3, sheet 13.

If battery fails in freezing

weather, crank engine for 5

seconds and retest. This will

warm battery slightly.

Go to NG 24, step 4, Figure 3, sheet 17

to test individual batteries of ail failed

series of batteries.

After completing repair, rerun GO

CHAIN tests to verify problem has

been fixed and that no other

problems exist. Start at GO 1

(Figure 2, sheet 1).

- Go to step 1, Figure 3, sheet 10 to

peform test on next series of batteries.

- Then go to NG 24, step 4, Figure 3,

sheet 17 to perform test of individual

batteries of this failed series of batteries.
