- Check all battery electrolyte levels.

- Clean all battery terminals.

- Check batteries’ specific gravities (para 8-28).

- Charge batteries if they haven't already been charged.

- Engine must not start while

performing this step. If engine starts,

repeat step.

- Locate and hold fuel shutoff closed

while cranking.
