Ensure MASTER switch is OFF before disconnecting electrical connectors of

power cable assemblies. Failure to follow this warning can result in injury to

personnel.

Allow powerplant to cool off before removing special equipment. Hot components

can cause severe burns.

4 Disconnect battery ground cables (para 8-28).

5 Remove screw (166), two Iockwashers (167), and ground cable assembly (item 7, Appx H) (165) from vehicle

hull. Discard Iockwashers.

6 Remove screw (89), two Iockwashers (90), and ground cable (item 7, Appx H) (165) from transmission. Insta

Iockwashers and screw.

7 Install powerplant ground cable (91), two new Iockwashers (167), and screw (166) on vehicle hull.
