Readings must be within limits given in table 2-53. The

letter L indicates a loose fit and the letter T indicates a

tight fit. If readings are not within given limits, throw

away part and get a new one.

Measure shifter shaft bore (1).

2.

Measure front output shaft bearing bore (2).

3.

Measure fit of shifter shaft (3) in shifter shaft bore (1).

4.

Measure front output shaft bearing (4) in front output shaft bearing bore (2).
