3. Compress the spring retainer (Figure 2, Item 5), and then cut and remove four push-on nuts (locking rings)
(Figure 2, Item 6). Discard push-on nuts (locking rings) (Figure 2, Item 6).
4. Remove the spring retainer (Figure 2, Item 5).
5. Remove 12 springs (Figure 2, Item 7) from the piston (Figure 2, Item 8).
