Check that three expansion plugs (1) are not loose, leaking or damaged in any
other way.
If any expansion plug is damaged, get a new one.
Check that four studs (2) are not loose, stripped, crossthreaded or damaged
in any other way.
Fix minor thread damage with a thread chaser. If more
repair is needed, get a new part.
NOTE
To check for cracks, refer to para 4-4.
Check that intake manifold (3) is not cracked, bent or damaged in any other
way.
If repair is needed, get a new part.
WARNING
Dry cleaning solvent is flammable. Do not use near an
open flame.
Keep a fire extinguisher nearby when sol-
vent is used.
Use only in well-ventilated places.
Failure to do this may result in injury to personnel and
damage to equipment.
Check that gasket surfaces (4) have no nicks, burrs or scratches. Take out
minor nicks, burrs or scratches with a fine mill file or crocus cloth dipped
in dry cleaning solvent.
If more repair is needed, get a new intake manifold
(3) .
