All battery charger switches must be in the OFF position and power cable
disconnected from power source before installing or removing batteries from the
carrying case.
Failure to follow procedures may damage batteries, making them
unserviceable.
Do not overtighten batteries when inserting into battery carrying case. Excessive
tightening will cause damage to battery carrying case.
(2) Install the batteries to be charged into the receptacles of the carrying case.

(3) Press relief valve on battery charger and release inside pressure. Open the lid of the
battery charger and remove the two cables from the lid compartment. Be sure that the POWER
ON/OFF switch (1) and the five CHARGE/OFF/TEST switches (2) are in the OFF position.
NOTE
In Steps (4) and (5) below, when connecting the power cable and carrying case/
battery charger cable, inspect each cable connector and its mating panel connector.
