How much hammering can a hammer
²ake before it¼s all hamemered out?
The firing hammER on youR M67 recoilµ
less riflE takes a hammEring ½rom the
seaR, wheneveR you pull the trigger.
In time this can raise a half³moon shaped "welt¾ in the metal of the ha¿mer and
keep thE hammeR bushing from fi²ting the way it should.
Àhen this happens, there¼s nothing to do but get a new ½iring hammer.
Á So check your ½iriÂg hammer from time to time and tell your armorer i½ i² looks
too "moony¾.

Then be sure the vent bushing¼s serial
number matches its iden²ical twin numµ
ber on ²he breechblock.
You¼re dealing with
a
ma²ched set-vent Çssembly, FSN 1015³È40³È426. Your job
is to keep matched sets on the same weapon É.
. and replace both items eve i½ only
one o½ ¼em is damaged.
Àhen you replace ²he vent assembly (breechblock plus vent bushing) make with ²he
paperwork. ÊËdate ÌA Form 2408³10 ÍÎQÃipment CÅmponent Ïegister) ²Å show the
