TOW Parts Are Matched .±²
The power supply moduLator and IR source of your TOW system's M89E±
transmitting set are matched to each other, so keep 'em together for precision
perf²rmance.
If you have to repLace either one, you also have to get your Direct Support
to adjust them.

When you connect the ³89's power
cable to the vehicle battery, be sure you
hook the positive cable to the positive
post .
.. and negative to negative. If you
switch the cables, reverse poLarity wiLl
da´age the transmitting set.
As a precaution against power surge
damage, turn oF theCB± switch on the
power supply

The screws holding the AN/TAS-4
actuator and basic sight assembly in the
housing soµetimes vibrate loose. ¶f
they do, be sure you put them back in
the right holes. The screws are diFerent
lengths and have to be put in the right
hoLes or they·ll vibrate out again.
Screws should tighten up bef²re go¸
ing through the housing. If they extend
through
the
cover,
yoU've
got
the
DEC 84

wrong ones in place.
Otherwise, let the screws alone. The
act¹ator and basic sight are Direct
Support territory.

When you connect the coil cord (to
MGS or whatever), Line up the key and
