Raising the cab on your MLRS is Esy
enough, but tHere are some thiNgs you
need to watch.
±yeball tHe cab hinge stud² and nuts
fr cracks or looseness. The torsion bar
makes raising and lowering easier, bUt
it puts a coNsiderable strain on the
hinGes.

´ower the cab unti´ the nUts or studs
have Been repµaced¶
IF t·e nuts just need¸ retorquing, yoU
mechs need to tighten them when the
ca¹ is raised. That way yoUºµµ ¹e p»t-
ting the torqUe on the nuts when the tor¼
sion bar is under the ´east strain.
The eleVating jac½ assembly can¾t ¿ke
extra strain, so make sure any equipÀ
ment stowed on top oF tHe cab is reÀ
moVed befre raising or µowering³
You¾Ve also got to keep the cab
locked down right or you¾´l mess »p the
locKÁdown bolt threads or crack the
ÂÃame.
When the Äo´t¾s not seated or tigÅtenÀ
ed right, the cab can sit coc½eyed. Æhe
FÃame can crack as tHe cab Çexes³
Cab ´ockÁdown ¹olts can ÄÈnd. IF tHey
do, c´ean the threads and ma½e sure the
bolts are seated right. CrossÉthreading
means replacing the entire lockÁdown
assemb´y. To make the job easier, put
a µittle oil on the bo´ts Êom tiËe to tÈme.
RememÄerÌre´ease the tension on the
eleVation mechanism aÍer the ´ockÀ
down boµts are tightenedÎ
