When the temperature drops below
32°F, your veHicle may be hard to start.
But the cold weather starting directions
in TM 9-2350±303±10 and TM 9±2350±
217±LON aren't quite right.
FIst, set the parking brake and s²if
the trans³´ssion to neutral.

Tuº the »ASTER switch to ¸N.
Next, check ¼r hydrostatic lock.
Push the STARTER switch up to

release it¾ Rep¿at a coupÀe o½ times while
checking ¼r sympto³s o½ hydrosÁtic
lock:
The engiÂe starts to tuº over, then
stops or binds.
The starter makes a cÀicking noise.
ý you ÄÅ tÆe engine is locked, stop
crankiÂg, tuº oÇ the MASTER switch,
and get your mechanic.
