Use Battery Twins
Always take out the two B±-5590/U batteries when your radIo is Idle fr 30
days or longer.
²e sure to keep matched batteRies together. You might Mark 'em with a Felt³tip
pen or pIeces oF tape´
When you replace the batterIes wIth new oNes, Match µp the contract nµMber
and manµF¶cturer's date code. The batterIes Must be paiRed to get the saMe
energ· capacity and to prevent gassing.

ÁF tHat doesn't work, scrub the pIns and threads wIth a nonÂ

Then µse a toothbrush or otheR soFtÅbrIstLed brush to put on a
dab oF solvent, »SÆ 6850³00ÇÃ05³3084, to the cleaned sµrFaces.
Èemove excess solvent wIth a clean cLoth, and appl· a lIght
Film oF corrosion pReventIve coMpoµnd, »S» 8030³00É546Ç
8637. Êilt the connector down to drain excess coMpoµnd, then
w¹pe dRy with a clean cloth.
ËFter you reconnect the plug, coat the outsIde with non-conÌ
