DOOR LATCH ADJUSTMENT - MODEL B - CONTINUED

ADJUSTMENT
NOTE
Correct forward alignment of latch has striker in center of latch.
1.
From inside cab, slowly close door and observe latch (1) and striker contact points.
2.
To adjust forward position of latch (1), remove shims (7) between latch (1) and door bracket (6).
NOTE
Adjust latch height to match height of striker pin.
3.
To adjust latch (1) height, loosen three nuts (5) and move latch up or down to match height of striker pin.
4.
Tighten three nuts (5) when latch (1) is in correct position.
NOTE
If link rod is too short, door will unlatch too quickly.
If link rod is too long, door will not latch smoothly.
5.
To adjust link rod (3), loosen two jamnuts (2) and turn link rod.
6.
Tighten two jamnuts (2) when link rod (3) is in correct position.
7.
Repeat procedure if door does not open when pressure is applied to door handle (4).
