Attach chain to hood support brackets (2) and lifting device and raise hood (1) until slack is

removed.

5.

Remove hood retaining bar (3) from bumper bracket (7) and stow on hood stowage bracket (4)

(TM 9-2320-272-10).

6.

Remove four screws (8), lockwashers (9), and mounting plate (10) from front crossmember (5).

Discard lockwashers (9).

WARNING

All personnel must stand clear during hoisting operation. A

shifting or swinging load may cause injury or death to personnel.

7.

Lift hood (1) straight up and away from bumper (6).

Lower and remove hood (1) from lifting device.

Attach chain to hood support brackets (2) and lifting device and hoist onto front crossmember (5).

WARNING

All personnel must stand clear during hoisting operation. A

shifting or swinging load may cause injury or death to personnel.

2.

Install hood (1) and mounting plate (10) on front crossmember (5) with four new lockwashers (9)

and screws (8).

3.

Secure hood (1) to bumper bracket (7) with hood retaining bar (3) (TM 9-2320-272-10).

4.

Remove lifting device and chain from hood (1).
