Close hood (1) and check clearance at top and sides of hood (1) and cowl (2). Clearance should be

1/4-3/4 in. (0.64-1.9 cm) and equal at both top and bottom of hood (1).

2.

Loosen four screws (4) at frame crossmember (3).

3.

Position hood (1) until proper clearance is obtained.

4.

Tighten four screws (4) 100 lb-ft (136 N•m).

FOLLOW-ON TASK: Install left and right splash shields (TM 9-2320-272-10).
