18-11. Installation.

Use a floor jack to position the spring and saddle assembly in the front and rear spring hanger

frame brackets (fig. 18-3).

Aline the front spring eye with the front hanger (fig. 8-4) spring hanger pin bore. Oil the inside

of the eye bushing and spring hanger pin.

c.

Install the spring hanger pin, being careful to aline the drawkey slot in the spring hanger pin

with the drawkey hole in the hanger.

d.

Install the drawkey, washer, and nut. Torque to 75-100 Ib-ft (102-136 N.m).

Install the spacer, bolt, Iockwasher and nut in the rear spring hanger. Torque to 70-80 Ib-ft

(95-108 N.m).

Lubricate per LO 9-2320-273-12.

Replace rear tandem axle assembly (para 2-16 b).
