12-44. ARCTIC HEATER BRACKET ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT
This task covers:

1.
Remove two capscrews (5), lockwashers (4), washers (3), and bracket assembly (2) from cowl (6).
Discard lockwashers (4).
2.
Remove clamp (1) from bracket assembly (2).
INITIAL SETUP:
Tools
General mechanic’s tool kit:
automotive (Appendix B, Item 1)
Materials/Parts
Two lockwashers (Appendix G, Item 135)

Equipment Condition
• Hood raised and secured (TM 9-2320-280-10).
• Arctic heater assembly removed (para. 12-41).
b. Installation
1.
Install clamp (1) on bracket assembly (2).
2.
Install bracket assembly (2) on cowl (6) with two washers (3), lockwashers (4), and capscrews (5).
Tighten capscrews (5) to 8 lb-ft (11 N
•
m).
FOLLOW-ON TASKS: • Install arctic heater (para. 12-41).
• Lower and secure hood (TM 9-2320-280-10).
