FIELD LEVEL MAINTENANCE
HYDRAULIC HOSE REPLACEMENT
INITIAL SETUP:
TYPICAL HYDRAULIC HOSE REMOVAL
Hydraulic hoses may retain residual pressure.
Wear eye protection to prevent eye
injury.
Failure to comply may result in serious injury to personnel.
NOTE
•
This procedure only shows location of hydraulic hoses.
It will never be necessary to
remove all hydraulic hoses at once.
•
All hydraulic hoses are connected to fittings.
Fittings from which hydraulic hoses are
being removed or installed may be an elbow, tee fitting, or an adapter on a valve or other
hydraulic component.
•
All hoses are removed the same way.
Elbow is shown.
•
Tag and mark position of hydraulic hoses.
•
Remove cushion clips and cable ties as required.
•
Cap and plug hydraulic hoses and fittings upon removal.
Remove hose (1) and preformed packing (2) from elbow (3).
Discard preformed packing.
