ALTERNATOR FIELD VOLTAGE:

• Turn on lights and accessories.

• Run engine at 750-850 RPM.

• Dial 83 into TEST SELECT and press TEST.

• Is the reading at least 24 VDC?

NO

YES

• Check/repair vehicle wiring

circuitry to field terminal

(WP 0125 00). After repair,

repeat step 1.

• Check for bad connections or

broken cables in charging system

output and ground circuits.

• Repeat step 1.

• If voltage is still not within the

specified limits, replace alternator

(Prestolite) (WP 0089 00) or

(Leece-Neville) (WP 0090 00).

NOTE

After completing repair, rerun the GO-Chain

tests to verify that the problem is fixed and

that no other problems exist.
